Dreaming Big – 100 Days at a Time!

Do you have big dreams?

I mean REALLY Big DREAMS!

If you don’t… then it’s definitely time to dream bigger!!

If you do… you may feel a bit overwhelmed by your goals.

We are going to tackle both scenarios in this blog!

The first thing you’re going to want to do is purchase a journal. Yep, you are going to be journaling every day! Wait!!!… hang with me here... Your journaling will only take 10 minutes in the morning and evening. That’s only 20 minutes a day!!! Surely you can dedicate 20 minutes a day to creating your dream life!

Start with writing down your BIG DREAMS!!!! Don’t filter your thought on this one… be specific:

  • Where will you work?

  • What are the elements of your ideal job / business / career?

  • How much money will you earn?

  • Where will you live?

  • When and where is your next vacation?

Now that you can SEE your dream life… open your journal to the first two blank pages. The left side will be used for your morning journaling, and the right will be used for your evening journaling. Here is what you’ll be writing about:

Morning Entry:

  • In the blank space at the top of the page:

    • Write “Morning”

    • Day 1 (This is a countdown. Tomorrow will be day 2, then day 3, etc.)

    • Date

    • Day of the week

  • I’m Grateful For (leave 3 blank lines)

  • My Mantra for Today (Something inspirational – can change daily or remain the same for all 100 days)

  • In 100 days: These Fabulous Things Happened: (This is a countdown. Tomorrow will be 99 days, then 98 days, etc.)

    • Leave 3 blank lines.

    • List 3 measurable goals that will move you toward your dream life. They will not change over the next 100 days. These are the things you will accomplish / complete at the end of the 100 days.

  • Today, I’ll Make Progress on These Micro-Goals:

    • Leave 3 blank lines.

    • List 3 micro-goals that you will make progress on today… not necessarily complete, simply make progress on them. Your micro-goals can stay the same for several days, or they may change daily.

  • Today, I’ll Take These Baby Steps to Make My Dreams Come True

    • Leave blank lines to the end of the page.

    • This is a list of the actions you will take today.

    • These can be VERY small steps like make one sales call, sign up for a class, or send an email.

Evening Entry:

  • In the blank space at the top of the page:

    • Write “Evening”

  • These Things Made My Day Sparkle!

    • Leave 3 blank lines)

  • Here’s How I’ll Make Tomorrow Even Better!

    • Leave 2 blank lines)

  • Life Happens 1 Day @ Time. Here’s How I lived Today

    • Select four things that are important for you to do well in order to live your best life.

    • Directly to the right of each, write 1 2  3  4  5

    • At the end of each day you will circle the rating on how you did that day for each item..

    • Below is the list I use:

      • Being Present                                      1          2          3          4          5

      • Connected to My Family                  1          2          3          4          5

      • Self-Care                                             1          2          3          4          5

      • Money Mindset                                   1          2          3          4          5

  • Am I Closer to My Goals Today Than I was Yesterday?

    • Add “Yes” and “No” boxes - check one.

    • I LOVE this entry because it reminds me that all of the small steps I am taking make a difference.

  • My Thoughts About Today (Leave blank lines to the end of the page.

100 Day Planning is the Big Dreamer’s Best Friend Because:

  • It’s short enough that you’ll feel compelled to “Get Stuff Done”!

  • It’s long enough for you to accomplish big goals

  • 100 days fits nicely into quarterly planning

There are soooo many awesome journals out there to choose from!! Here is a list of what I look for in my goal planning journals:

  • 9” x 7” size – I like the larger journals because they offer plenty of writing space

  • Lined

  • Sturdy cover

  • Ribbon to keep my place

  • Attractive Cover - I take my journal EVERYWHERE! It might as well be pretty!!

Fabulous lives don’t happen by accident

Create a Plan

 Take Deliberate Action
